Trafoi, Italy
Sunday morning I started out from Bolzano and got on the narrow winding road that led to Stelvio Pass.
It was late September and the road was not yet closed for the winter.
Here is the sign at a turnoff on the road. The side road led to a small village where there was a lift to the Stelvio mountain top. I drove to the village but all that was there was a few houses and the lift which wasn't open.
The only person I saw was someone tending sheep. It was foggy and it seemed like a very lonely place far away from anything.
