This is the hotel across the steet from the Hotel California made famous by the Eagles' song. Most of the group stayed at that hotel but me and Dave elected to stay here when offered the option.
We had bicycled 81 miles that day from La Ribera to Todos Santos. Eighty-one miles may not seem like much, but the first five miles were on sand and then we had to cross the mountain range that ran down the center of Baja California. Many in the group quit early and rode the support van into Todos Santos. This ride is where I truly learned what "hitting the wall" meant. I was lethargic for the remainder of he trip. Dave hired a masseuse for a rubdown after dinner. I just went to sleep.
