Melk, Austria
Today we bicyled a short 40 miles from Gresten to Melk. We bicyled along the Danube river until we came upon Melk which is home to a well known medieval monestary.
In the picture you see a nice spread Backroads layed out for us. Linda mailed this photo to me after the trip was over since I was in it.
The Backroads guides make campground meals that rival anything you can get in an upscale restaurant. However, one morning they concocted this fresh muesli breakfast from a supposedly local recipe that was heavy on prunes and lacking in cereals. It didn't go over too well with the group.
