Horb, Germany (1)
Today (Wednesday) I flew from Frankfurt to Horb where a company (Brueninghaus Hydromatik GmbH) makes very large hydraulic motors used on mining excavators. Can't buy these things in the U.S. of A. My company thought about making them once but decided against it. Too much of a learning curve. I met up with two guys from my company and we had dinner that evening together.
We visited the company on Thursday and then drove to Ulm to visit the Bruenginghaus facility there on Friday. Our contact at the Horb facility seemed inconvenienced by our visit and rushed us through the tour. My next four visits were equally unproductive because the manager was never prepared for the discussions and acted like he couldn't wait to get rid of me (or us as the case may be). I got the postcard in the picture at a local restaurant. Appears to have been taken in 1960. You will see four more links for Horb visits in this Travelogue but they all show the same picture.
