Here I am ready to go down my favorite run at Beavercreek: Bald Eagle. Its a long bump run with an even keel, meaning the fall line goes straight down instead of to the left or right. On top of that, the six chair Grouse Mountain Express Lift zooms you back up the mountain. You can do a lot of skiing in a short amount of time.
Snow conditions were outstanding on this trip. I'm wearing a pair of new Olin skis that I bought from Viking Ski Shop in Chicago. I had to return them every year for a free exchange because they would completely flatten out. When I moved to New Jersey and couldn't return the last pair I had, I bought a pair of Rossignal quick turn mogul skis which have lots of rebound. They are old style skinny skis that I found buried in a discount rack.
