Amsterdam, Netherlands (1)
This one week business trip was at the end of March. I flow out Friday night and arrived in Amsterdam Saturday morning. The itinerary started there and I would work my way south to Munich and fly back eight days later on a Sunday. I had to visit six companies during the week so it was a tight schedule.
The picture shows the Hotel Maas. Its in the same block as the American Hotel which is one of the most expensive hotels in Amsterdam. This picture was not actually taken on this trip (the leafy trees indicate summer time). Once again, I had a fabulous time walking around and soaking up the sights. When I awoke early on Sunday morning I found the streets nearly deserted. I was walking along and this bum started following me asking for money. I ignored him. However, he was persistant and got very close to me. I threw out my arm and hit his shoulder which caused him to fall down. He started cursing me and threatened bodily harm, but I didn't say anything and kept on going. I left Sunday afternoon and drove to the Parkhotel in Witten for my Monday visit with Lohman & Stolterfoht.
